The first step to obtaining a Building Permit for your project is to fill in a Building Application Form, which we can provide and assist you with completing, as well as providing some basic information and documentation relating to your project.  From here, we assess your application and request any additional information we require to ensure that your building plans and documentation are compliant with relevant building legislation before granting a Building Permit.

Once your Building Permit has been issued, you are ready to go! We will then carry out the mandatory building inspections throughout your project to ensure the key building stages are completed in accordance with the Building Permit, Building Code of Australia, Building Act 1993 and Building Interim Regulations 2017.

How long does it take to get a Building Permit in Melbourne?

Building permit applications are typically assessed within 7 days of receiving them. Once all information is received, the permit is generally issued within 24-48 hours. Large jobs can take up to two weeks to process, however our team will always be on hand to work with you to meet your important deadlines.
